Breaking news: It has been announced that the first regular season game for the NFL’s 2024 season will see a rematch of the 2023 AFC Championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs: Taylor Swift, who was the Chiefs’ lucky charm throughout the 2023 season all the way to the Super Bowl, could very much continue her streak of attendance at the season opener
The pop star, who is scheduled to complete an 18-stop tour around Europe this summer, will finish her run of shows in London with an astonishing six-night stop at Wembley Stadium on August 20.
This gives the “Maroon” signer ample opportunity to make it back to Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the Chiefs’ players against the Ravens. Kelce was seen on Sunday at Swift’s fourth and final show in Paris, France, along with his best friend, Travis Ross, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, and Lenny Kravitz.
Swift is set to finish her slate of 2024 Eras Tour concerts with a string of shows in Canada, specifically with three nights in Vancouver at BC Place on December 8. Andy Reid and his Chiefs will look to cement the team’s dynasty status against one of their fiercest rivals in the AFC. The matchup against the Ravens will bring forward the rivalry between two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson vs Patrick Mahomes.
Both players have enjoyed MVP status recently, with Mahomes taking the honors in the two previous Super Bowls, and Jackson nabbing the season title after his remarkable year. The season Kickoff game, scheduled for Thursday, September 5 at Arrowhead Stadium, will be a rematch of last season’s AFC title game which the Chiefs took home with a 17-10 win.
This will be the third time that the Chiefs will host a kickoff game in the last five seasons. According to record books, it has been 12 years since the last time the Ravens were able to win a game in Kansas City. The rest of the Chiefs’ schedule will be announced along with the rest of the league’s on Wednesday, May 15th at 8pm ET on NFL Network.
