Fans Think Taylor Swift Confirmed the Last Verse of “But Daddy I Love Him” Is About Travis Kelce
Taylor kicked off Tortured Poets with “But Daddy I Love Him,” a song that appears to largely be about Matty Healy. Exceeeeeeept for the last verse, which some fans are convinced is about Travis Kelce. And there’s speculation that Taylor confirmed as much last night in Paris, when she transitioned from “But Daddy I Love Him” straight into “So High School” (her song about Travis).
As a reminder, “But Daddy I Love Him” goes from this vibe:
And now I’m running with my dress unbuttoned
Screaming “But Daddy I love him!”
I’m having his baby
No, I’m not, but you should see your faces
I’m telling him to floor it through the fences
No, I’m not coming to my senses
I know he’s crazy but he’s the one I want
To this vibe in last verse:
Now I’m dancing in my dress in the sun and
Even my daddy just loves him
I’m his lady, and oh my God
You should see your faces
Time, doesn’t it give some perspective
No, you can’t come to the wedding
I know he’s crazy but he’s the one I want
TBD on if it’s actually about Travis, but judging from the Tortured Poets set at the Eras Tour…I’m not not convinced!
