NFL Fans Think That One Team’s First-Round Pick Is A Major Hint That Tom Brady Is Coming Back To Play For Them
NFL fans are now convinced that retired quarterback Tom Brady could un-retire a second time to play for an AFC team following their big move at the draft last night.
Tom Brady’s initial retirement lasted only 40 days. The second one is nearing its 15-month anniversary, yet some folks can’t help but wonder if the seven-time Super Bowl champion will suit up again for his age-47 season.
During round one of the NFL Draft on Thursday, the Las Vegas Raiders used the No. 13 selection on Georgia tight end Brock Bowers. This move comes one year after Vegas used a second-round pick on another top TE prospect in Michael Mayer.
Put the pieces together, and you can see why football fans believe Brady could un-retire to come out and play for the Raiders:

Hey, if there’s one team that makes sense for Tom Brady…
The Raiders have a giant question mark at quarterback, with sophomore Aidan O’Connell and journeyman Gardner Minshew II atop the depth chart. If Brady came to Vegas, he’d have a deep set of weapons led by Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers (Brady’s old teammate in New England!), Mayer and Bowers.
Just saying.
Tom Brady Is Staying Retired
As much as fans want to see Tom Brady come back for a 24th NFL season, it doesn’t feel realistic at this point for a variety of reasons.
Brady has been out of football for over a year now. He would have to train extensively to get himself prepared for the grind of a full season while familiarizing himself with his new team’s offensive playbook.
Brady has a high-paying gig coming up as an analyst on FOX Sports, one that will pay him tens of millions of dollars annually. He’s also in the process of getting a Raiders’ ownership stake, which would bar him from being able to play football again.
