Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs recently suffered a gut-wrenching 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
While Mahomes and his team work through the process of bouncing back, following a grueling NFL season, the Chiefs quarterback’s mom, Randi Mahomes, took to social media to share a devastating update on her father’s health.
On Friday, Randi Mahomes shared a few pictures of her father, Randy Martin, announcing that he has died.
While Randi Mahomes mentioned that it’s a difficult time for her family, she posted a kind note about her father along with a Bible verse, following his death.
“Hard to find the words of holding my father’s hand as he goes to Heaven. I know he’s in a better place. I love you daddy. Well done, good and faithful servant! Matthew 25:23.”

Before Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs took the field for Super Bowl LIX, Randi Mahomes mentioned that her father was “hanging on” in hospice to watch his grandson.
“I know that it has meant a lot to him,” Randi said, per Jackson Thompson at Fox News. “And I think he’s hanging on because he wants to see his grandson do an amazing thing or just let him play.”

During the postseason, Randi Mahomes had posted a photo of her father, mentioning that he entered hospice care.
“My dad is in hospice, and I’m lost for words,” Randi Mahomes said, per Brenton Blanchet at People.
