The Kansas City Chiefs are on the brink of becoming the first team in NFL History to win a Super Bowl three-peat as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb 9.
With a mix of new and veteran players on the squad, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who’s set to make his fifth Super Bowl start in his seven years as a starter, is making sure everyone stays locked in.
“I just make sure to stay on guys about getting their stuff done and making sure that they keep the main thing the main thing, and that’s the football game that we’re going to play,” Mahomes said told 96.5 The Fan’s Carrington Harrison earlier this week. “And then you can enjoy the other stuff as well. The 29-year-old couldn’t help but comment on Texas Tech basketball team’s huge upset over Houston on Saturday night after Mahomes’ alma mater defeated the Cougars 82-81 in overtime.
