Serena Williams Defends Taylor Swift Against Super Bowl Boos

Tennis legend Serena Williams took time during the Super Bowl to come to the defense of Taylor Swift, after the singer received a loud chorus of boos when she was shown on the screen during the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles matchup.
“I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!” Williams wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
It was a busy night for Williams and a huge surprise for fans, as the four-time Olympic gold medalist made a cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance. Williams crip-walked in a flaring tennis skirt during a crowd-bumping rendition of Lamar’s Grammy-sweeping, Drake diss track “Not Like Us” — an especially cold move considering the longstanding rumors that Williams and the Canadian rapper used to date.
When Williams danced to the song during her time hosting the 2024 ESPYs, she also gave out some wisdom with her dance moves. “If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that none of us, not a single one of us, not even me, should ever pick a fight with Kendrick Lamar,” she said.
