Taylor Swift Eras tour: Liverpool’s ‘Taylor Town’ concert plans
A special Taylor Swift working group has been set up in Liverpool ahead of her visit to the city in June.
The pop star will perform at the city’s Anfield stadium for three nights as part of her Eras tour.
Liverpool Council culture officials have revealed it has been given the codename Taylor Town to reflect the impact the event will have on the city.
“It won’t be hard to notice Taylor Swift has landed,” Culture Liverpool’s Sue Gibson said.
The working group is looking at aspects such as public transport to Anfield as no parking will be provided, though one suggestion is to use the matchday Soccerbus service.
There is also a focus on safeguarding for a predominately younger audience.
It will be the first time the Anti-Hero singer has performed in the UK for five years.
But while she has not put on a show in the city for some time, the singer was in Liverpool last year as she filmed the video for her single I Can See You.
Posting online about the video after it was released, she said she had been “so proud” of the Liverpool-based shoot.
