Taylor Swift shares video glimpse of life with Travis Kelce. And she’s wearing KU gear

Taylor Swift accepted her own challenge to fans Friday by posting a YouTube Short showing boyfriend Travis Kelce kissing her as she cooked, and her doing a bit of sewing while wearing a University of Kansas sweatshirt.

Swift fans cheered the rare glimpse of the celebrity couple’s home life. But they also wanted to know: Where can I get that sweatshirt?

“Taylor Swift wearing a KU sweatshirt is my Roman Empire,” wrote one Swiftie on X.

One of the glimpses of life with Kelce shows Swift with a pickleball racket. It has a logo of the Super Bowl champion Chiefs. That’s the team Kelce has played for since he entered the NFL in 2013.

Chiefs Kingdom has embraced Swift since she attended her first game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24. That told the world that Swift and Kelce were an item.

That Chiefs paddle is widely available, including on Amazon.

Swift has asked fans to post moments of their lives, following a theme of 14 — the number of days in a “Fortnight,” the name of the lead single on her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“The Department kindly requests your participation in the For a Fortnight Challenge, showing 14 clips from 14 moments of your life … only on @YouTube Shorts,” the post on X read.

Swift’s video shows her making cinnamon rolls, getting a kiss from Kelce while she’s cooking at the stove, in the recording studio, on a yacht, in the gym working on her glutes, and wearing elaborate makeup.

Cooking has long been a passion for Swift. In addition to making homemade Pop-Tarts for the Chiefs offensive linemen during the 2023 season, she made cinnamon rolls for Kelce before a game at Arrowhead Stadium on Oct. 22.

We can’t confirm if those were the cinnamon rolls in the video, but let’s just say it is, because that’s a sweet moment in their relationship.

Taylor Swift style expert Sarah Chapelle quickly tracked down the $65 sweatshirt to the website of Frankie Collective, a vintage and reworked clothing seller in Vancouver, British Columbia.

It had only one of the garments listed on its website, a small size, and a “sold out” label over it.

Wonder who got that one?

Earlier in the day KU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences posted Instagram photos of the school’s Baby Jay mascot in a Swift-like “TTPD” pose and Big Jay recreating Swift’s image on the anthology cover.

Swift’s connection to KU goes back to 2009 when, as a 19-year-old starting out in her career, she visited her best friend Abigail Anderson, who at the time was a KU freshman.

“I couldn’t help but smile because this feels so classic Taylor to release a personal montage of home clips giving us (scant) insight into the moments of her life beyond the music,” Chapelle wrote.

“The other day I was remarking how her candid appearances of late have felt like a subtle reminder to us all that the life she’s documented in The Tortured Poets Department was indeed from but a ‘fleeting and fatalistic moment in time.’

“No less tragic and vivid and real, but clips like this not only harken back to me of MySpace days with home footage cut into vlogs (from) the road but that also serve as a note that she’s cultivated a beautiful life from the ashes that the Department left her with.”

Fans absolutely loved seeing Swift supporting the Jayhawks.

As much joy as there was in Lawrence, Swifties at the University of Missouri watched a bit jealously.

“This is more than my Tiger heart can handle — it’s too big of a W for kU!,” tweeted one. “@Mizzou please send @taylorswift13 a sweatshirt. We need to remind the masses that the @Chiefs are in Kansas City, MISSOURI.”
