Tom Brady annoys Raiders fans, is perplexed by old age in tribute to “Tuck Rule Game”
The former NFL quarterback still believes he’s in his 20s.
On the same day the Las Vegas Raiders hired Antonio Pierce as their full-time head coach, they caught a stray from the greatest quarterback of all-time, Tom Brady.
Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the famous (or infamous) “Tuck Rule Game”, in which a game-ending fumble recovery by the Raiders defense was overturned due to the tuck rule. Brady and the New England Patriots ended up winning in OT. They then won the Super Bowl, Brady’s first of seven total.
Brady remembered, or celebrated, the anniversary by sharing a picture of his from the game.
Raiders fans will hate Brady even more than usual for making them re-live the traumatizing experience. Brady didn’t even mention the Raiders in the post, but took the opportunity to shock himself with how long it’s been since the game happened.
In a very tongue-in-cheek fashion: “I’m only 26 years old the numbers don’t add up”.
Brady has had a strong social media presence over the last few years, but especially since retiring from the NFL last season. He seems to be enjoying his life off the field.
