Travis Kelce finally reacts to teammate Harrison Butker’s homemaker speech
Travis Kelce disagreed with “the majority” of Harrison Butker’s controversial commencement speech.
Nearly two weeks after the Kansas City Chiefs kicker’s “homemaker” comments made headlines, Kelce reacted on Friday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
While the tight end, 34, acknowledged that his teammate, 28, is a “great person” who is entitled to his views, he clarified that didn’t agree with “just about any of it besides him loving his family and his kids.”
Kelce went on to praise his mom, Donna Kelce, and his dad, Ed Kelce, for both being “homemakers” and “providers” in his childhood home.
They were unbelievable at being present every single day of my life,” Travis said. “That was a beautiful upbringing for me. … I’m not the same person without both of them being who they were in my life.
“I’m just gonna go back to my beliefs and my family,” he continued. “My views are never gonna be the same as the man next to me.”
