Post Malone is singing Taylor Swift’s praises!
After the release of Swift’s highly anticipated studio album The Tortured Poets Department, Malone celebrated his feature on the album on social media.
In posts on both Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, April 20, the musician shared a photo of himself and Swift, 34, hanging out together on a couch as he reflected on the opportunity to collaborate with her on the song “Fortnight.”
It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world,” he wrote in the caption. “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey 🥹. I love you so much. Thank you Tay 💕.”
Swift’s boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, showed his support by liking Malone’s post.
On Thursday, April 18, Swift revealed that the first single from the LP would be “Fortnight” — and a music video would be dropping after the album.
“I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever,” the “Karma” singer wrote on Instagram.
She continued, “I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song at Midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8pm ET TOMORROW.”
“Fortnight” is only one of the two songs to feature another artist on the album. The song “Florida!!!” features Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.
Swift announced the release of The Tortured Poets Department — which fans speculated to explore heartbreak — while accepting the Grammy for best pop vocal album at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Since then, she’s dropped a handful of clips featuring snippets of song lyrics and murals have begun to appear in cities like Chicago with QR codes that link to mysterious clips.
On Tuesday, April 17, Swift gave fans an inside look at her fictional literary society created for this album and teased a timetable of her release schedule.
Then, from April 16-18, the “Lavender Haze” singer brought the project to life with a “library installation” at The Grove in Los Angeles, which she curated in collaboration with Spotify.
In addition to his new collaboration with Swift, Malone, 28, was recently featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album for the track “LEVII’S JEANS.”
