That is, until rumours began swirling earlier this month that the former model was secretly dating 49-year-old professional golfer Woods.

The new couple confirmed their newfound love affair over the weekend by sharing a sweet snap together.

The first image showed the couple standing with their arms around one another’s waists as they smiled at the camera, whilst the second saw Vanessa and her new beau laying down on an outside lounge bed, snuggling into his chest.

Sportsman and father-of-two Woods captioned the cosy social media photo: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!

“We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

Surprisingly, one of the first high-profile stars to comment on the Instagram upload (shared on Sunday 23 March) was Vanessa’s former family member, 43-year-old Ivanka Trump.

“So happy for you both,” the businesswoman wrote, alongside a stream of love-heart emojis.

According to several US news outlets, Vanessa and Woods had been friends for some time – both living in Florida, reportedly only 20 minutes apart – but recently opted to take their relationship to the next level.

A source previously told Page Six that whilst things are ‘not too serious’ yet between them, their romance is ‘heading in that direction’.

“They’re a good match,” the insider continued. “They’re level-headed, they like to avoid drama, they share a lot of the same values.”

Former model Vanessa and her ex, Donald Jr, share five children together – the eldest being her 17-year-old daughter golf-loving Kai, as well as 16-year-old son Donald III, and the youngest trio, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.

Woods, meanwhile, shares his two children – son Charlie, 16, and daughter Sam, 17 – with Swedish fashion star ex-wife Elin Nordegren, from whom he split in 2010, six years after tying the knot.

The couple parted ways following a high-profile cheating scandal, which saw Woods go on to subsequently date a stream of A-list ladies – including Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn and stylist Kristin Smith.

According to another source close to Vanessa, however, her new relationship with someone of the golfer’s celebrity status is unsurprising.

“Vanessa has always gone for guys who are either well known or have something big going for them,” they told PEOPLE Magazine.

“She is comfortable with that, but she’s not a woman who wants to be in the limelight.

“She is not a shrinking violet but is discreet and smart and a good mother. That has come first in her life.”

The publication also reported that her ex-husband Donald Jr. is ‘cool with’ her romance with the sportsman.
