Serena Williams Keeps It Real Struggling to Fit Into a Designer Skirt After Welcoming Second Child
The tennis pro admitted that she ‘got distracted’ in her health journey.
Serena Williams may be a world class athlete in great physical shape, but even she struggles with her clothes fitting. The 42-year-old mother of two took to Instagram on Sunday to show a video of herself trying on a Valentino denim skirt she purchased while pregnant.
“I was like, ‘I’m gonna be able to fit this when I don’t have a belly,” Williams says of the floor-length skirt. “I can’t fit it.”
Noting that getting into the skirt is her “goal,” Williams adds, “Honestly, I should be able to fit in it by now, but I ran into some… I got distracted for about a month. So I’m about a month behind.”
Showing how the skirt would not go over her booty, Williams quips, “We got a ways to go. Houston, we have a problem. Palm Beach, we have a problem… I feel like if I go to the gym and get fit, I’ll be able to fit it in a month.”
Williams is mom to daughters Olympia, 6, and Adria, 5 months. She shares them with husband Alexis Ohanian. She has recently returned to working out and fitness postpartum. Back in December, she shared a video of herself and her daughters working out together on Instagram.
“We all work out in this family. @adiraohanian @olympiaohanian 💪🏿” she wrote at the time.
